A cultural bridge, built one performance at a time.
Vancouver Youth Dancing Club (VYDC) is a non-profit cultural arts organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the artistry of Chinese dance in Canada.
Dance Community & Heritage
Vancouver Youth Dancing Club was founded in 2024 by a group of young artists and volunteers who wanted a place where Chinese dance could be practiced with rigor, presented with pride, and shared generously with Canadian audiences.
Today we continue to develop new repertoire, invite guest artists, and welcome new members who share our commitment to Chinese performing arts.
Promote Chinese dance culture, encourage artistic expression, and connect communities through the performing arts.
We create space for dancers of every background to explore classical and folk traditions, while producing performances that speak to Canada's cultural richness.
A future where Chinese dance is understood, respected, and celebrated as part of Canada's cultural landscape.
Through education, exchange, and public performance, we work to make Chinese dance accessible, contemporary, and deeply rooted in its heritage.
A company built on shared craft.
From principal dancers to volunteers and production staff, our members bring VYDC to life on and off the stage.
